Guangzhou Grand Theatre
Guangzhou Grand Theater is one of the landmark buildings in Guangzhou. It covers a total area of 42000 square meters, a construction area of 73000 square meters and a total building height of 43.1 meters. It has Opera Hall, experimental theater, contemporary art museum and other art galleries and three rehearsal halls (Opera rehearsal hall, Ballet Rehearsal Hall and Symphony rehearsal hall). Designed by Zaha Hadid, in 2014, Guangzhou Grand Theatre was rated as "the world's top ten opera houses" by USA today.

Material description: GRG is a pre cast glass fiber reinforced gypsum board. It is a special decorative improved fiber gypsum decorative material. The wall of the hall is made of GRG (glass fiber reinforced gypsum) board. Generally, it is 2.5cm thick in other domestic theaters, while it is 4cm thick in Guangzhou Grand Theater.
The indoor material floor of the auditorium is solid wood floor, and the rest are all GRG materials. The shape completely subverts the tradition. The whole is asymmetric karst cave shape. The processing, production, installation and inspection are completely carried out by newly developed software. There is no critical point, no vertical plane, and all surfaces.
There are three rehearsal halls in Guangzhou Grand Theater, namely ballet, song and dance drama, band and standby rehearsal hall. The application of GRG materials has been brought into full play in the rehearsal hall. The complex shape and installation difficulties completely exceed the imagination. According to the acoustic requirements, the total allowable construction deviation of the theater is set within 20mm, and the allowable deviation of key control points is no more than 1mm.
